Governance
RVPA is a Joint Powers Authority of eight member agencies, administered on behalf of the County of Marin.
Eight member agencies
Each appoints a board member; the Board elects a Chair and Vice Chair each year.
County of Marin contract
RVPA contracts with the County of Marin for paramedic service, including management.
Boundary drop agreement
An agreement with the Town of Corte Madera lets the closest ambulance respond.
The Executive Officer is Marin County Fire Chief Jason Weber, who volunteers his time to serve as administrator on behalf of the County of Marin. Several member fire departments also staff a paramedic on some fire engines to increase service levels, working alongside the ambulance crews.
